13/ The kingdom of Lemurs

Due to its isolation from the rest of Africa, Madagascar wildlife has evolved on its own, making its fauna and flora unique in the world. The most amazing of Madagascar’s wildlife are the lemurs which are only found in Madagascar. More than 100 species have been recorded. This tours brings you to the best area where travellers can spot and enjoy the lemur’s show: Berenty and Nahampoina.

DAY 1 : FLIGHT TO FORT DAUPHIN

Arrival in to Fort Dauphin. Transfer to hotel. Afternoon free. Night in hotel.

DAY 2 : FORT-DAUPHIN – BERENTY

In the morning transfer to Berenty about 80 km from Fort-Dauphin. We experience the big contrast between the humid east of Fort Dauphin and the dry south of Amboasary. This is also seen in the features of the population, the Antanosy of Asian origin and the Antandroy of Bantu origin at. Arrival in Berenty and visit of the reserve with a special guide.Night in hotel.

DAY 3 : BERENTY – FORT DAUPHIN

Get up at dawn as this is the best time for bird watching, to see the lemurs sunbathing, and to enjoy the coolness of the forest before going to breakfast. In the afternoon, drive back to Fort Dauphin. Night in hotel.

DAY 4 : FORT-DAUPHIN Excursion LOKARO

Day excursion by boat to Lokaro bay which is a wonderful and round bay with green water but also region of the prawns and crawfish. Back to Fort Dauphin at the end of the afternoon. Night in hotel.

DAY 5 : FORT DAUPHIN

Transfer to the airport to fly to Tana.
